Florence MugenyiWomen in Film and Video/New England, Co-Chair Development

Florence Mugenyi is passionate about sound and audio. She does video and other editing with critical attention and appreciation of sound management. Florence also strongly believes that film and video are not just about arts, but also the sciences. Based on this, she is a strong advocate for promoting female filmmakers in STEM.

Florence also writes original songs and music in various genres.

Currently, Florence is the Co-Development Chair of Women in Film and Video/New England; focusing on fundraising & development and has been part of WIFV/NE since 2011.

Florence is also the Treasurer & PAC Treasurer for the Boston Chapter of the National Organization for Women (Boston NOW) and has been a board member since 2008.

Currently she works with Center Club, Boston, a psychiatric rehabilitation program of Bay Cove Human Services and is the founder of NationJC Inc.

Florence believes that film and video create a universal language that crosses multiple social, economic and political spectrums and that it can be a powerful tool in influencing events in the present and the future, in a way that nothing else can!
